Introducing my newest overnight oats recipe, featuring two of my favorite fruits: mango & passion fruit.
Sweet, juicy, and tastes like candy (nature’s candy, that is), this tropical combo is a must-try! Does anyone else love mango and passion fruit as much as I do?
Last year my grandpa planted a passion fruit vine since he knows how much I love passion fruit and he gets about 25+ fruits per month! He also has a giant mango tree that produces the sweetest, largest mangos.
So, that’s what inspired this passion fruit and mango overnight oats recipe.
These creamy oats are bursting with tropical flavors—it’s like having summer in a bowl, even in the middle of winter. Each bite feels like sunshine!
Packed with fiber, antioxidants, and vitamin C, these overnight oats are a healthy breakfast option that’s perfect for meal prep. Made with wholesome ingredients like oats, chia seeds, non-dairy yogurt, fresh mango and passion fruit, they’re the ideal way to start your day off right!

- Mango: Use fresh or thawed frozen mango. Rich in vitamin C, mango helps boost immunity, improve digestion, and promote healthy skin!
- Passion Fruit: My all-time favorite fruit! Packed with fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin A, passion fruit is great for glowing skin and overall health.
- Quick Oats: I like to use quick oats in my overnight oats for the creamiest texture. Use certified gluten-free oats as needed.
- Non-Dairy Milk: Any unsweetened non-dairy milk will work (almond milk, oat milk, etc.). I use soy milk for protein. If you aren’t dairy-free, feel free to use regular milk.
- Non-Dairy Yogurt: I use a dairy-free mango and passion fruit yogurt (from Icelandic Provisions), but any yogurt will work! If you aren’t dairy-free, you can use regular yogurt.
- Chia Seeds: A great source of fiber and omega-3. It also helps thicken the mixture for a creamy texture.
- Maple Syrup: Adds natural sweetness. You can also use agave or honey if not vegan.
- Vanilla Extract: Just a drop enhances all the flavors.
- Salt: Just a pinch to enhance all the flavors

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use frozen mango and passion fruit?
Yes! You can use frozen mango and passionfruit, just make sure to thaw them before mixing into your overnight oats for the best texture and flavor.
Can I use all passion fruit or all mango if I don’t have both?
Absolutely! If you don’t have mango, you can use all passionfruit. Likewise, if you don’t have passionfruit, feel free to use all mango.
What type of oats should I use to make overnight oats?
In my opinion, quick oats work best when making overnight oats because they become tender and creamy when soaked. Use certified gluten-free oats if needed. Just don’t use steel cut oats as they need to be cooked first.
How long should I soak overnight oats?
I recommend soaking the oats overnight for the best texture and flavor. The longer they soak, the softer the oats will get and the more time the tropical flavors have to mingle together!
How long will overnight oats last in the fridge?
Overnight oats last 3-5 days in the fridge, which makes them perfect for meal prep. I like to prep my overnight oats in small glass jars or mason jars.
