The first time I traveled to Paris, I was a little nervous about finding food as a vegan. After all, Paris is know for it’s buttery croissants, cheese boards, and steak frites. But to my surprise, it quickly became one of my favorite cities for plant-based food (alongside all the incredible vegan restaurants in NYC).

Over the years of visiting, I’ve discovered some incredible vegan restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and hidden gems in Paris, many with gluten-free options too. On my latest trip, I even discovered a fully vegan hotel in Paris! Safe to say, this city has completely stolen my heart, one vegan croissant at a time.

Whether you’re searching for the best vegan croissant in Paris (more on that below), plant-based restaurants, vegan cafés, or gluten-free bakeries, this guide covers it all. Some spots are fully vegan, some are vegetarian, and others are simply veg-friendly, but all are worth visiting.

One little tip: many of the best vegan restaurants in Paris are north of the Seine River. I’m not sure why… it’s just how it is.

They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks, making it the perfect spot any time of day. I ordered the BBQ oyster mushroom tacos and the flavors were incredible!

Le Potager de Charlotte is one of my favorite vegan restaurants in Paris, serving beautifully plated gourmet plant-based dishes that honestly feel Michelin star-worthy.

Their menu focuses on local, organic produce sourced from farmers markets, which makes every dish taste incredibly fresh and flavorful. Not only is the food delicious, but each plate feels like a work of art!

This is one of my top recommendations for a plant-based dinner in Paris, though they’re open for lunch as well. Every time I visit, I order the sesame crusted tofu, which could turn even the biggest tofu skeptics into tofu lovers.

Wild & The Moon

  • Diet: Vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free & organic
  • Location: 9 locations across Paris
  • Perfect For: Breakfast, smoothies, açai bowls, cold-pressed juices, pastries & grab-and-go meals

Wild & The Moon was my first vegan find in Paris and I went almost every single day on my first trip. They are 100% plant-based, organic, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free. They also avoid additives, preservatives, GMOs, and artificial flavor enhancers, which makes this one of my favorite healthy vegan spots in Paris.

For breakfast, I love their açai bowls topped with homemade crunchy granola. The toppings change daily depending on what fruit is fresh and in season, which makes every bowl feel a little different. I typically make my vegan acai bowl for breakfast with my healthy peanut butter granola, so this feels like a piece of home.

They also have smoothies, cold-pressed juices, salads, sandwiches, wellness drinks, pastries, and even vegan macarons that are everything I dreamed a vegan macaron in Paris would be!

  • Location: 1st & 6th arrondissement
  • Perfect For: Healthy brunch, juices, salads & no-bake desserts
  • Must-Try Items: Bali bowl, gâteau cru au chocolat, vegan & gluten-free brownie

A few years ago, I had my birthday lunch at Judy and ordered the Bali Bowl pictured above. Funny enough, after a week in France, all I was craving was tofu.

Also pictured above is the Gâteau Cru Au Chocolat, which is essentially a no-bake chocolate tart that’s rich, fudgy, and incredibly decadent. It reminded me of my no-bake brownies.

While Judy isn’t fully vegan, they offer several clearly labeled vegan-friendly options, like cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, chia puddings (which reminded me of my raspberry chia pudding), salads, and vegan & gluten-free pastries and desserts.

Beyond being one of the prettiest restaurants in Paris, they also offer vegan-friendly options with a seasonal menu that typically includes at least one vegan appetizer, main dish, and dessert.

I’ve tried the Mezze La Maison Rose, vegan green pea soup, and pesto pasta, all of which were very flavorful. Even if you don’t go for a full meal, it’s worth stopping by simply for the dreamy Paris atmosphere alone.

The first time I walked into Copains, I felt like I entered pastry heaven. As someone who’s vegan and (mostly) gluten-free, finding a dedicated gluten-free bakery in Paris with vegan options felt like striking gold.

It’s very different from your typical bakery. Everything feels elevated and luxurious, with the pastries displayed almost like designer handbags in a boutique. It’s such a fun experience to walk into!

They offer gluten-free breads, beautiful tarts, pastries, croissants, donuts, and they even have sandwiches and cold-pressed juices (though I didn’t get to try any). With several locations across Paris, chances are you’ll stumble upon one while exploring the city.

Amorino

  • Diet: Vegan-friendly options
  • Location: Several locations across Paris
  • Perfect For: Gelato, dessert & late-night treats
  • Must-Try Item: Organic chocolate & strawberry gelato (tastes like a chocolate covered strawberry!)

We may not be in Italy, but the gelato at Amorino tastes pretty close to it. I was so happy to discover they offer several vegan flavors including raspberry, strawberry, organic chocolate, and passion fruit. With locations all across Paris, chances are you’ll stumble upon one while wandering the city.

Oh and if you order your gelato in a cone, they shape it into a flower. Totally Instagram-worthy!
