These Healthy Brownies are rich, fudgy & melt-in-your-mouth delicious. You would never guess they are made with wholesome ingredients! Naturally vegan, gluten free & refined sugar free.

I’m always trying to create healthy recipes that are made with wholesome ingredients but taste like they aren’t – you know what I mean? Well I think I definitely succeeded with these. These brownies are made without any flour, gluten, dairy, eggs or refined sugars. Instead, they are made from nourishing ingredients that you don’t have to feel guilty for eating.

This is my go-to recipe for whenever I get a brownie craving because of (1) how quick and easy they are to make, and (2) they taste SO good. The texture of these brownies is just perfect: rich, fudgy, and moist. All you need is one bowl and about 15 minutes of your time until you pop them in the oven.

Healthy Brownies Ingredients

• Almond Flour – make sure to use blanched almond flour. I do not recommend substituting another flour.

• Cocoa Powder

• Baking Powder

• Nut Butter (runny) – a runny nut butter works best in this recipe, so try to use an all-natural nut butter. I use my homemade peanut butter in this recipe, so they are more like peanut butter brownies. If you are looking for a more neutral flavor, I would use cashew butter. Feel free to use your favorite nut butter, such as almond butter, cashew butter, hazelnut butter (this would give it a Nutella twist), or sunflower butter. You could also do half one nut butter and half the other!

• Coconut Sugar – our all natural sweetener.

Agave – another all natural sweetener. You can also use maple syrup.

• Ground Flaxseed – this is to make our flax eggs. Make sure you get ground flaxseed meal, not whole flaxseeds.

• Vegan Butter – you can also use melted coconut oil, but be sure to use refined coconut oil as it does not have any coconut flavor.

• Vanilla Extract

• Plant Milk – any plant milk will work. I typically use oat milk or soy milk. (oat, soy, almond, etc.)

• Vegan Chocolate Chips – I always use the brand Hu Chocolate – it’s made with clean ingredients and my all-time favorite chocolate! Be sure to use my code BOOBOO for a discount.

Healthy Brownies

Healthy Brownies are rich, fudgy & melt-in-your-mouth. You would never guess they are made with wholesome ingredients! Vegan, gluten free & refined sugar free.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350F. Prepare an 8x8 parchment lined baking dish.
  • Prepare the flax eggs and set aside for 10 minutes to gel.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
  • To the bowl, add the peanut butter, coconut sugar, agave, flax eggs, melted vegan butter, non-dairy milk and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the dish. Sprinkle with the vegan chocolate chips.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let them sit in the pan for about 15-20 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack until they have cooled. Though tempting, it is super important to let them cool a bit before eating them. They need proper time to set since they are made with almond flour. Then, slice and dig in! The longer they sit the more firm they will become.
